An original oil painting of a grand public library with tall arched bookcases, a glass dome, stairs and pale reading chairs. Part of my Public Library series, it comes from missing the rooms in which paper books, deep quiet and the faint rustle of pages gave thoughts time to unfold. Perhaps other readers remember libraries as places where nobody hurried and a long thought was allowed to remain unfinished.
-oil painting on stretched canvas, ready to hang, all sides are painted.
-40×50×1,5cm. (19,7x15,7inches)
