An original acrylic public library interior in soft blue, ochre, cream and charcoal, with a long wooden reading table, slender stools, hanging lamps and shelves leading toward a dark arched doorway. I grew up with paper books, and this painting comes from missing the special silence of libraries and the calming rustle of pages being turned. Perhaps other book lovers remember that time too—the quiet pleasure of sitting among strangers, each person absorbed in a different book.
-acrylic painting on stretched canvas, ready to hang, all sides are painted.
-40×50×1,5cm. (19,7x15,7inches)
