An original oil painting of a woman seen from behind at a public library counter, surrounded by shelves and open books. Part of my Public Library series, it returns to a feeling I remember from paper-book libraries: searching the shelves until one particular book seemed to recognise you first. Perhaps other book lovers remember choosing books by instinct, in a silence softened by pages turning nearby.
-oil painting on stretched canvas, ready to hang, all sides are painted.
-40×50×1,5cm. (19,7x15,7inches)
